The challenge: Capturing a Limitless Festival

The Oshkosh Air Show spans an entire week, featuring hundreds of flight performances, interviews, and seminars — with massive crowds constantly moving across the venue. Tri-Marq was tasked with producing live-stream content, recordings, and video for two giant LED screens at the airfield.

The challenge wasn’t the gear itself – it was manpower. With such a vast event to cover, there simply weren’t enough qualified camera operators to capture every angle, while expectations for image quality and flexibility continued to grow.

The solution: Vaddio RoboSHOT UHD PTZ Cameras

Tri-Marq decided to enhance their traditional camera setup with Vaddio RoboSHOT UHD PTZ cameras – and the results exceeded all expectations.

• Cameras RoboSHOT 20 UHD were positioned around the grandstands and announcer booths to capture close-up shots and interviews with pilots and special guests.
• Cameras RoboSHOT 40 UHD were placed farther away to capture wide crowd shots and aerial displays – areas unreachable by conventional cameras.

With a 40x optical zoom, the RoboSHOT cameras provided sharp, detailed close-ups from over 150 feet away, maintaining color accuracy and crystal-clear resolution.

Smooth and centralized control

All Vaddio cameras were controlled remotely via the PCC Premier Camera Controller, allowing just two operators to manage multiple cameras, switch angles, and follow live action in real time.

Thanks to flexible preset transitions, operators could easily shift from smooth, slow pans during interviews to fast repositioning for unexpected moments in the sky.
The video feed was broadcast live to the massive LED walls and local network – immersing tens of thousands of spectators in the experience.

“We can take two lines out to the camera because we’re running all SDIs, so we run an SDI cable plus a Cat-5 cable for control, and it works really great. It actually saves us with setup quite a bit” Rocheck cho biết.
